Avec Les Bijoux de pacotille (2018) Céline Milliat Baumgartner commençait à développer un théâtre de l’intime. Consacré à la disparition de ses parents dans un accident de voiture, et au sentiment d’absence qui en résulte, ce seul en scène dirigé par Pauline Bureau témoigne d’un goût pour les histoires de fantômes que l’on retrouve dans un nouveau spectacle, Marilyn, ma Grand-mère et moi. Sous prétexte de rendre hommage à Marilyn Monroe, l’actrice accompagnée du pianiste Manuel Peskine évoque l’existence de sa grand-mère. Derrière leurs grandes différences, elle découvre à ces deux femmes des interrogations proches, qui sont aussi les siennes : sur « la place à prendre dans ce monde en tant que femme, en tant que mère, en tant qu’actrice de sa vie, et la question du corps qui vieillit ».
