L’Onde – Centre d’art, Scène conventionnée de Vélizy-Villacoublay
Comme le professeur d’histoire Ben Ross du lycée américain Gordon High du roman La Vague de Todd Strasser (1981), l’enseignant Benjamin Cortet, très apprécié dans son établissement français, mène dans la nouvelle création de Marion Conejero une expérience. Elle se nomme « La Vague », et a pour objectif de donner à comprendre à des élèves les mécanismes de la mise en place d’un régime totalitaire. Adaptation du livre cité plus tôt et du film Die Welle de Dennis Gansel, eux-mêmes inspirés d’un fait réel datant de 1967 dans un lycée de Palo Alto en Californie, la pièce La Vague s’inscrit dans la continuité du travail que mène sa metteure en scène avec sa compagnie Les Chiens Andalous. Œuvrant à interroger « la jeunesse à travers et au cœur des grandes questions politiques et sociales contemporaines », cette dernière nous met en état d’alerte. Elle nous rappelle qu’une dictature est toujours possible, et que le théâtre peut aider à en guetter les signes.
