Des marches, des courses, puis soudain un corps qui s’effondre. De cour à jardin, les traversées se font ensuite plus urgentes, à mesure que résonnent les premières notes de la Messe en si de Jean Sébastien Bach. Alors on se bouscule, on se porte, ou plutôt on se soutient, on s’étreint. Dans une scénographie faite de blocs rectangulaires, les danseurs sont mus par ce qui semble être une incessante quête, ou fuite, que les obstacles ne sauront empêcher. Les corps œuvrent ensemble à défier l’espace, même s’il faut se porter, se tracter, se soulever, donner une attention particulière à l’autre, à sa jambe, à ses épaules qu’il faut soutenir… Béatrice Massin a réussi le challenge de faire communauté au-delà d’un rassemblement de danseurs baroques : ici, on devine les traces d’un vocabulaire à travers un coude plié, un poignet cassé, puis le rythme des pas ou le dessin au sol, mais l’enjeu de toutes ces présences perdure bien au-delà de la forme. Sous ces corps juvéniles, derrière la grâce contenue, se jouent les drames d’une jeunesse voyageuse malgré elle dans des déplacements de masse, mais toujours poussée par le souffle de l’espoir.
