Personnalité forte et sensible, cet immense talent caché de la chanson revient avec deux cadeaux. Le premier est la reprise de son spectacle Barbara : une performance exceptionnelle marquée à la fois par une sobriété pleine de noblesse et par une troublante implication émotionnelle. Les hommages à Barbara ont fleuri de toutes parts ces derniers temps, mais aucun n’a atteint ce niveau de musicalité, de sensibilité et de vérité de l’interprétation. Autre surprise : un nouveau tour de chant en liberté intitulé « Rencontres », où Mathieu Rosaz nous fait entrer avec humour et pudeur dans son monde à lui, seul en scène avec son piano et sans micro ! « Je reçois le public comme si je le recevais chez moi, je lui joue du piano, chante ; je lui lis mes passages préférés des livres et des auteurs que j’aime… » explique Mathieu Rosaz qui nous embarque dans un univers secret et beau, drôle et poétique, douloureux et lumineux, des "Eparpillements" de Natalie Barney à Proust ou Colette, des chansons d’Yvette Guilbert à celles de Véronique Sanson, Barbara ou Brigitte Fontaine. A découvrir absolument.
