Collège de la Salle / Chanson / Hommage à Barbara
Si Laurent Viel convainc en prenant le chemin de l’audace d’interprétations cherchant à prendre une grande distance avec l’original, Mathieu Rosaz, dans le même répertoire des chansons de Barbara, emprunte une autre voie. Celle plus classique, musicale et naturelle qui consiste à se laisser guider par la grâce de chansons sublimes qu’il a fait siennes depuis de longues années déjà. Jamais dans l’imitation, avec une fidélité à l’original qui possède aussi tout son charme. Dès le milieu des années 90, tout en composant ses propres chansons, il chante Barbara, et Perlimpinpin devient vite son titre fétiche, lui valant au passage les encouragements de la grande Dame. C’est en 2002 que Mathieu Rosaz présente son premier spectacle intégralement consacré à Barbara. L’album qui suivra recevra le Prix Coup de Cœur de l’Académie Charles Cros. Personnalité forte et sensible à la fois, Mathieu Rosaz cache sous ses airs de garçon rêveur de bonne famille la passion tenace de chanter. En s’accompagnant au piano et avec l’excellent Michel Glasko à l’accordéon, il signe un tour de chant classique et magnifique marqué par une musicalité parfaite et une troublante implication émotionnelle.
