Biennale de danse du Val-de-Marne / Chorégraphie Anne NGuyen
Après Hip-hop Nakupenda en 2021 qui liait sur scène l’histoire du hip-hop à celle du Congo, la breakeuse Anne NGuyen crée un ballet pour six danseurs afros, et plonge dans l’univers des musiques urbaines africaines. La chorégraphe dévoile sur scène sa réalité du continent où “où sexe, danse, musique, violence, profit et politique sont intimement liés”, avec des danseurs performant les mécanismes de la colonisation et de la domination culturelle occidentale. Avec cette pièce, Anne NGuyen cherche à mettre en lumière la culture de la danse afro et à questionner l’imaginaire qui l’accompagne, en composant avec des artistes issus de ce mouvement. Familière des spectacles à texte, la chorégraphe s’exprime ici avec les corps et la musique, qui en disent bien assez seuls.
