C’est au sein d’un espace scénique abstrait et circulaire, au plus près des spectateurs, que Christine Kœtzel se lance dans cette balade à deux temps sur les traces d’un homme prénommé Johannes. Une balade mystérieuse, faite de toutes sortes de résonnances, qui nous mène d’un matin à un soir, de l’aube au crépuscule de la vie. « Le passage, déclare la comédienne et metteure en scène, la frontière, les limbes, l’entre-deux, entre la vie et la mort… Un vide à apprivoiser, où subsiste de l’imprévu. C’est cet endroit particulier qui est sollicité dans ce magnifique roman* et que nous aimerions explorer, entre théâtre et récit... » Souhaitant atteindre « l’endroit d’aiguisement des sensations » que peut constituer l’art dramatique, Christine Kœtzel porte à la scène le texte de Jon Fosse avec la volonté de rendre compte d’un « monde de l’entre-deux ». Un monde situé « à l’orée du langage et au tréfonds de notre mémoire ».
