Le compositeur Matteo Franceschini, prompt à utiliser dans sa musique les outils multimédia et informatiques, avait déjà signé, lors de la saison 2009-2010 de l’Arcal, un « cross-over opéra » pour adolescents intitulé My Way to Hell… Il prolonge aujourd’hui sa démarche d’ouverture lyrique à des publics jeunes avec cette nouvelle création intitulée Zazie directement inspirée par le roman Zazie dans le métro de Queneau paru en 1959. On connaît tous l’histoire de Zazie arrivant de sa province chez son oncle Gabriel à Paris dans l’espoir de voir son rêve se réaliser : monter dans le métro ! Ce périple urbain nostalgique et heureux, jalonné de péripéties savoureuses, reprend vie dans la palette de couleurs de l’orchestre symphonique… Michel Beretti signe le livret du conte musical et Christian Gangneron la mise en espace. Avec Mélanie Lévy-Thiébaut (direction), Guillaume Marquet (récitant), Sevan Manoukian (soprano) et Jean-Baptiste Dumora (baryton).
