Jason l’avait promis à Médée au moment du départ de Colchide : rien ne devait pouvoir les séparer que la mort. A la fois engagement et menace, la déclaration en forme de prédiction rattrape les amants maudits qui ont construit, en gerfauts d’épouvante, leur nid dans un charnier criminel. Médée est celle qui ensanglante la filiation : meurtrière de son frère dépecé, traîtresse dont les pouvoirs ont perdu son père et sa patrie, elle frappe en aval comme elle a frappé en amont et tue ses enfants pour mieux se venger de Jason après avoir assassiné sa rivale, Glavka. Le spectacle de Diana Dobreva, qui réécrit le mythe à partir de ses avatars littéraires, fait de l’amour « un état absolu contigu à l’obsession des démons, et la trahison est vécue comme une trahison par rapport à la route commune que Médée et Jason ont choisi initialement d’emprunter. » Les corps des comédiens se font les instruments chorégraphiques d’une transe hypnotique ; les amants inventent leur propre langue, et le rituel amoureux se fait danse de mort à l’érotisme incandescent.
