Medo signifie la peur. Un titre tout trouvé pour ce spectacle terrifiant, qui pousse à bout tous les clichés et les représentations que l’on peut avoir sur la femme. C’est sans doute parce que Tais Vieira et Paulo Azevedo sont allés chercher la violence où elle peut se terrer, dans le quotidien comme dans l’univers carcéral, que cette pièce touche. La douceur y est broyée, la sexualité malmenée jusqu’à l’insupportable, la maternité rejetée, la séduction niée. Les corps sont montrés dans toute leur crudité et leur cruauté. Les danseuses vont loin, très loin dans la provocation d’images chocs, relayés par les danseurs dont la présence devient une surenchère. On connaît l’écriture sans concession de Tais Vieira, qui jette sans ménagement les corps contre le sol ou contre eux-mêmes. Aujourd’hui, le propos va encore plus loin : âmes sensibles s’abstenir. Eloigner les enfants et les seuls amateurs du plaisir des battles ; le hip hop est ici déplacé vers des sphères où on ne l’attend pas encore.
