Après le magnifique accueil du projet chambriste « Tubafest » en octobre dernier, faisant la part belle au compositeur, c’est avec sa casquette de leader qu’Andy Emler revient au Triton, à la tête de son groupe phare qui emballe et s’emballe : le MegaOctet. Ce nouveau programme intitulé « Obsession 3 » partira ensuite en studio pour un album à venir dans quelques mois sur le label La Buissonne de Gérard de Haro, ingénieur du son forçant l’admiration de tous et grand admirateur d’Andy Emler, dont il est le complice régulier. « Je ne connais personne qui a cette approche harmonique et ludique à la fois. Son écriture est la clé de tout : à la fois lyrique, romantique et très énergisante, au croisement de toutes les musiques. Andy Emler fait partie de ces êtres qui vous bouleversent musicalement mais aussi humainement parce que dans chaque note ou phrase qu’il écrit et joue se dégage une force d’amour exceptionnelle, » nous confiait Gérard de Haro il y a quelques mois. Avec Fabrice Martinez (trompette, bugle), Thomas de Pourquery (saxophone alto), Philippe Sellam (saxophone alto), Laurent Dehors (saxophone ténor, clarinette basse, cornemuse), François Thuillier (tuba), Claude Tchamitchian (contrebasse), Eric Echampard (batterie), François Verly (percussions, tablas, marimba) et Andy Emler (piano, direction, compositions).
