Il a pris la clarinette au conservatoire, puis étudié la musicologie et la composition à l’université ; il s’est acoquiné aux mélodies de Milton Nascimento, puis a muté en activiste rock, et ainsi de suite. Jusqu’au jour où, après tous ces chemins détournés, il est revenu à ce satané tango, celui des origines, niché dans les bas-fonds de Buenos Aires. « Mon intention est de sortir cette musique du domaine patrimonial, où elle fut trop longtemps cantonnée. Pour la transformer et la remettre dans le vivant… La modernité se trouve dans les origines. » Cette sentence est depuis un mantra pour ce chanteur à la voix habitée de mille maux, habitué de banlieues Bleues. Il y revient cette fois avec un nouvel album dans les bagages, S’il vous plaît, où il revisite son univers si singulier en formule Tipica, évoquant les orchestres des glorieuses années 1940. Pour sûr, ça devrait nous plaire !
