En 35 ans et plus de 2000 concerts à travers le monde, Odyssée s’est constitué un solide répertoire transgressant largement les frontières entre la musique qu’on dit savante et la pop culture. Chansons françaises (Nino Ferrer, Léo Ferré, Boris Vian), standards vintage (Andrews Sisters, Kurt Weill), musiques de films (Nino Rota, Ennio Morricone, John Williams) et pièces classiques (Rossini, Fauré, Berlioz) se retrouvent dans le creuset de Melting Pop, arrangés avec autant d’originalité que de bonne humeur. Andrés Arévalo (tuba), Serge Desautels (chant, cors, mélodica, petites percussions), Jean-François Farge (trombone, guitare, ukulélé, voix) et Franck Guibert (trompettes, petites percussions, voix) interprètent ces « petits morceaux de quotidien, des choses que, telle ou telle année, tous les gens ont vues, ont vécues, ont partagées, et qui ensuite ont disparu, ont été oubliées. » Mais, comme souvent, la, la, la, mine de rien, voilà que revient le flonflon qui nous met le cœur en fête…
