MUSIQUE SACRÉE / INVALIDES ET MAISON DE LA RADIO
Mozart fut compositeur d’église le plus souvent par obligation. Ce n’est pas ce que l’on retient d’abord de son œuvre, hormis bien sûr le Requiem (1791) et cette Messe en ut (1782-83), laissée inachevée mais qui est néanmoins un indiscutable chef-d’œuvre. Tout y est grand, personnel, novateur : son architecture, l’orchestration, l’écriture vocale tantôt aérienne (le merveilleux Et incarnatus est offert à la soprano) ou puissante (les chœurs), la référence aux maîtres anciens redécouverts (les fugues et le contrepoint inspirés par la lecture de Bach et Haendel). Certes tronquée d’un strict point de vue liturgique, la Messe en ut a toute sa place au concert. Démonstration ce mois-ci en église par le Paris Mozart Orchestra et Claire Gibault, avec la soprano Florie Valiquette, puis en auditorium avec le Chœur et Orchestre philharmonique de Radio France dirigés par Leonardo García Alarcón, avec la soprano Marie Lys.
