La Maison de la culture du Japon joue les prolongations. Après un mois de décembre commémorant avec moult concerts les 100 ans de la naissance d’Olivier Messiaen, cette institution consacre à la fin du mois de janvier deux soirées et une table ronde au compositeur du Quatuor pour la fin du temps. Le vendredi, après la table ronde, aura lieu un concert proposé par l’Ensemble « Vecteur Ondes » composé de spécialistes des ondes Martenot. Cet instrument électronique à clavier, inventé en 1928, a régulièrement été employé par Messiaen qui a notamment écrit L’eau pour ondes. L’ensemble confrontera des pièces de Messiaen à celles d’autres compositeurs, qui ont pour certains été ses propres élèves. Le lendemain, le pianiste Jun Kanno interprétera les Vingt Regards sur l’Enfant-Jésus, une œuvre de Messiaen qui appelle les superlatifs : 2000 mesures, une durée de 2h… A noter que le pianiste japonais a été, au Conservatoire de Paris, l’élève d’Yvonne Loriod, la femme de Messiaen.
