Il a conçu ce nouveau projet « en réaction au chaos de ce monde », livrant à ses complices interprètes – un quintette de jazz de premiers couteaux et un quatuor à cordes – des compositions de sa plume libre comme l’air, ondulantes et ondoyantes, lyriques et groovy. Entre jazz aérien et subtiles mélodies pop (on pense à Steely Dan et Sting par instants), Meta chante avec émotion les mots et maux du monde – la loi du marché, le quotidien des étrangers ou le mal de vivre des transgenres – auquel il oppose comme réponse la force de l’amour et de la beauté. « Je voulais exprimer l’évolution sans limite, sous la forme d’une vie en courbe qui dessine un parcours aléatoire et infini » explique-t-il. Avec Pierre de Bethmann (piano), Simon Tailleu (contrebasse), Michael Felberbaum (guitare), Stéphane Guillaume (saxophones, flûte) et Karl Januska (batterie) et un quatuor à cordes composé de Maya Koch, Flore Anne Brosseau, Maud Ayat et Frédéric Peyrat. Ce concert exceptionnel est présenté en clôture des Arabofolies, le festival musical des arts et des idées de l’Institut du Monde Arabe.
