Pour dire notre monde et son impasse, le recours à la mythologie et à la poésie est une voie possible et en tout cas le parti pris de Guillaume Cantillon pour son spectacle créé en 2017. Son complice Gilbert Lely a traduit six histoires d’amour issues des Métamorphoses d’Ovide (Orphée et Eurydice, Apollon et Daphné, Salmacis et Hermaphrodite…), socle pour donner un contrepoint atemporel et poétique à l’actualité. Mais le terme même de « métamorphose » peut être lu à travers l’analyse d’Edgar Morin : « Quand un système est incapable de traiter ses problèmes vitaux, il se dégrade, se désintègre ou alors il est capable de susciter un meta-système à même de traiter ses problèmes : il se métamorphose. » Comment changer de voie, quels chemins de liberté emprunter ? Tels sont les thèmes que Guillaume Cantillon et Gilbert Lely explorent dans ce spectacle-performance où se mêlent profération, chant, récit, conte, musique et vidéo.
