Le spectacle s’ouvre sur une présence des plus étranges : d’abord informe, une chose se meut et se transforme. Etui à instrument, corps, ou contrebasse ? Dans un clin d’œil à Man Ray, le musicien Camille Perrin émerge de ce magma et de sa pesanteur pour mieux resserrer l’atmosphère, sombre et inquiétante. Lumière, musique, états de corps : tout concourt à plonger le spectateur dans un univers à part, tout en tension et en retenue. Dans ce paysage fantastique, le danseur Nicolas Hubert est à son bureau tel un laborantin, cherchant dans les mécanismes du corps et des objets les matières de ses explorations.
De Kafka à Frankenstein
Dans un chaos d’objets hétéroclites, tout devient musiques, créatures, ambiances. Plus de repères, les métamorphoses s’opèrent à mesure que les images troubles se forment sous nos yeux. Le corps est une marionnette ou un animal, un moignon ou un athlète, une forme ou une énergie. Tous deux impressionnants dans leurs registres qui se croisent, Camille Perrin et Nicolas Hubert signent là une collaboration très prolixe, qui touche autant aux références picturales que littéraires. Ici, les transformations ne s’opèrent pas seulement sur le plateau, mais aussi dans le regard du spectateur, happé de bout en bout par l’insolite de chaque situation.
