« De la piste de danse aux toilettes de l’étage zouk, du parking jusqu’au quai du RER à l’aube, de la zone fumeur au carré VIP », une jeune femme et un jeune homme se croisent et se ratent, se rencontrent pour mieux se fuir, et dessinent, entre danse et incommunicabilité, la chorégraphie des amours modernes, sorte de valse-hésitation où les corps et les cœurs se cherchent en vain. Se souvenant de sa jeunesse passée sur la piste du Métropolis, boîte de nuit de la banlieue parisienne qu’il fréquentait dans les années 80, et croisant la mémoire de ces soirées avec des témoignages de jeunes gens d’aujourd’hui, Hédi Tillette de Clermont-Tonnerre compose un road movie théâtral qui interroge l’art d’aimer « à l’ère du téléphone portable et de Facebook » à travers l’histoire éternelle d’un amour contrarié.
