L’album « Des nuits noires de monde » qui vient de sortir fixe la recréation récente d’un spectacle de 1991, œuvre ambitieuse conçue comme un voyage musical pour chanteuse, chœur de femmes et petit orchestre forain. « Au fil de mes tournées, beaucoup de personnes m’en reparlaient avec une petite lueur dans les yeux, mettant en avant le caractère brûlant d’actualité des thèmes abordés. Alors l’envie m’est venue de revisiter ces nuits noires sous une autre forme, parce qu’on ne remarche jamais sur ses traces et que le cours de l’Histoire récente s’est chargé de m’apporter d’autres éclairages, d’autres interrogations » confie Michèle Bernard. Pour cette reprise, elle s’entoure de Patrick Mathis (orgue de barbarie) et du groupe vocal Evasion. « Nous chanterons, dans différentes langues, les frontières du monde et les frontières intérieures, sans cesse franchies, déplacées, détruites, reconstruites, toujours en mouvement, comme la musique. Nous chanterons l’incessante errance des humains entre l’instinct de guerre et l’envie de paix ». Le spectacle engagé, humaniste et sensible d’une artiste de référence récompensée à trois reprises pour ses albums par le prix de l’Académie Charles Cros.
