L’été dernier, le chef et pianiste Mikhaïl Pletnev a fait parler de lui, non pas en raison de son talent artistique mais à cause d’une sordide affaire de mœurs. Il venait en effet d’être inculpé pour viol sur mineur de moins de 15 ans en Thaïlande. La justice l’a pourtant laissé quitter le pays et, très rapidement, le musicien a repris la route des concerts. Le gouvernement russe serait-il intervenu dans ce dossier (Pletnev est le conseiller du président Medvedev en matière de culture) ? Toujours est-il que l’on pourra le voir, ce mois-ci, diriger à la Salle Pleyel. Il sera à la tête de l’Orchestre National de Russie, une formation indépendante qu’il a lui-même fondée en 1990. A l’affiche : deux œuvres de Chostakovitch (la très académique Ouverture de fête et la géniale Symphonie n°9, mêlant ironie et tragique) et le Concerto pour violon n°2 de Prokofiev, où Pletnev retrouvera son compatriote Vadim Repin, avec lequel il partage la même sobriété d’expression.
