Théâtre-Studio d’Alfortville/ Texte et mise en scène Vincent Farasse
Karim, jeune ouvrier venu d’Algérie dans la métropole, se passionne pour la course de fond. Mimoun et Zatopek deviennent ses deux héros. Il ne sait jamais qui choisir. Mimoun, d’Algérie comme lui ? Zatopek, idole du parti communiste ? Il vieillit avec eux, raconte leur histoire, et par là son histoire, de la fin des années 40 au milieu des années 70. Seul en scène, le comédien Ali Esmili, membre du Collectif Les Trois Mulets, collectif d’acteurs franco-maghrébins porté par l’ambition de créer un théâtre qui puise directement dans cette double culture, incarne Karim. Il est aussi à l’origine de la création de la pièce, commande d’écriture faite à Vincent Farasse, auteur et metteur en scène, fondateur de la Compagnie Azdak, avec lequel il entretient un compagnonnage de longue date. Ensemble, ils militent pour un théâtre d’acteur, populaire, ouvert sur le monde, dont cette création se fait l’expression.
