Le mouvement se délie, glisse et s’étourdit en infinies spirales, tressaille et soudain fend d’un trait les lumières vibrantes. Chez Saburo Teshigawara, la geste toujours aspire à la spiritualité, quêtant l’incertaine sérénité de l’âme par delà le heurt des tumultes intimes et des ténèbres invisibles. « L’harmonie est quelque chose qui n’est ni fixe, ni stable. C’est une situation d’équilibre, en constante transformation. Elle n’est jamais achevée – elle demande une lutte avec ses propres doutes » dit-il. Dessinateur, calligraphe, performer, formé à la sculpture et à la danse classique, le Japonais arque sa danse sur la tension entre l’homme et son environnement. Dans Miroku, titre évoquant l’incarnation de Bouddha qui apparaîtra lorsque le monde aura atteint l’harmonie, il relie perceptions intérieures des éléments et traductions physiques. Seul au milieu de monochromes bleuis, il laisse son corps répondre aux variations d’intensité, de couleur et de temporalité de la lumière. Dans ce solo fascinant de précision, Saburo Teshigawara pousse l’expérience de l’espace et du mouvement aux limites, comme pour effacer la chair et caresser l’ineffable.
