« J’avais envie de faire découvrir aux enfants la malice et le plaisir des mots, considérés et éprouvés comme une matière indocile, rebelle, joueuse et surprenante. Une matière que les enfants doivent apprendre à maîtriser. J’ai invité le ressort, avec lequel je me débats depuis plusieurs années, comme image du langage : tout aussi imprévisible, parfois tonitruant ou bien assoupi, il cherche sans cesse à s’échapper de la pesanteur et suit son propre mouvement. C’est un formidable combustible pour l’imaginaire. Molin et Molette sont deux clowns chercheurs qui élèvent des ressorts et fabriquent du silence. Ils sont fascinés par ce drôle d’élevage, qui les surprend par ses développements insoupçonnés. Ils essaient de le dompter, tout comme la parole, et mènent différentes expériences dans leur atelier. Molin se heurte souvent aux mots et aux ressorts, qui restent coincés, se mélangent et s’amusent entre eux. Molette est plus à l’aise avec ces matières, elle s’applique à les dresser mais parfois se fait mordre ! De telles expériences exigent une vigilance de tous les instants… »
