Le Petit Louvre / d’après Brian Friel / mes Julie Brochen
En mars 2013, durant plus d’un mois, Julie Brochen a mystérieusement perdu l’usage de son oreille gauche. C’est cette expérience inattendue qui est à l’origine du spectacle que l’ancienne directrice du Théâtre national de Strasbourg présente au Petit Louvre. « Je me suis mise à écrire, prendre des notes de façon compulsive, déclare-t-elle. J’entends plus rien à gauche, le texte issu de ces notes, constitue le point de départ de mon intérêt pour les travaux d’Oliver Sacks et de notre intention de travailler sur la pièce de Brian Friel, Molly Sweeney ». Une pièce qui relate l’histoire de Molly, une femme aveugle depuis son enfance qui décide de subir une opération pour tenter de recouvrer la vue. Mêlant monologues, dialogues, airs de piano et chants, la comédienne et metteure en scène sonde, à travers ce spectacle, la subtilité et la complexité des repères qui constituent notre rapport au monde. Elle pose ainsi la question du réel et de la façon dont nous l’appréhendons. Et celle de la liberté dans la différence.
