L’Artephile / texte Valérie Mréjen / mes Dag Jeanneret
Romancière, plasticienne et vidéaste, Valérie Mréjen a publié chez Allia en 1999 un récit relatant la vie rocambolesque de son grand-père. Ecrit en courts paragraphes qui passent du grand-père à la grand-mère et à son nouveau mari, à ses maîtresses en passant par un oncle ou une tante, Mon Grand-père multiplie les récits familiaux sur un ton à la fois distant et touchant. Sur scène, Stéphanie Marc prépare des toasts et habille les murs de bibelots, fait ressurgir la mémoire à travers des gestes méticuleux. C’est un véritable art de la collecte qui se déploie ici, « une expérience de l’observation et de la sensibilité aux choses, comme le dit joliment Valérie Mréjen, construisant petit à petit, grâce à la langue imagée de l’autrice, un véritable album de famille, en même temps que le portrait d’une époque et l’histoire d’une filiation.
