Formés à l’Ecole Internationale de Mimodrame de Paris Marcel Marceau, Violaine Clanet et Laurent Clairet, les inventeurs malicieux de ces improbables histoires d’O « ont en commun d’être attirés par un théâtre où le mot se fait geste, un théâtre d’images, corporel et poétique qui fait la part belle au burlesque et à la tragicomédie ». Monsieur et Madame O, pièce gestuelle et presque sans paroles, croise le mime, l’art du clown, la danse contemporaine et le théâtre de l’absurde et propose, légère et grave, une réflexion amusante et profonde sur le poids des habitudes, les rets des conventions et les pièges du quotidien en décortiquant les mécanismes qui poussent un couple à dériver dans le long fleuve tumultueux du non-sens. Autour d’une table, Monsieur et Madame O jouent chaque jour la même partition, jusqu’à s’abîmer dans la routine de leurs répétitions. Entre attente de vains espoirs et frustrations renouvelées et sans appel, le couple noie l’amour dans le traintrain et le duo vire au duel… Pour le plus grand plaisir des zygomatiques que chatouille avec esprit la féroce ironie de ce combat désopilant.
