TANGO / THEATRE DE L’ATHENEE
Dans la famille Mosalini, impossible pour le mélomane ouvert sur le monde de ne pas connaître le père, Juan José, bandonéoniste, chef d’orchestre et grande figure du tango contemporain, né en 1943 et français d’adoption depuis 1973. Sous son propre nom (et prénom), son fils Juan Jo construit à son tour depuis déjà 20 ans un parcours musical remarquable. Juan Jo Mosalini, associé à de nombreux projets, se distingue par une impressionnante carrière de soliste qui l’amène à se produire régulièrement dans le monde entier à l’invitation d’orchestres symphoniques. Avec son complice le contrebassiste Leonardo Teruggi, ils ont donné vie à une formation chambriste, le Mosalini-Teruggi Cuarteto, qui comprend aussi deux solistes issus de la scène classique, Sébastien Surel au violon, membre du Trio Talweg, et Romain Descharmes au piano, Premier Grand Prix du Concours International de Dublin et déjà remarqué sur les routes vagabondes de Quai n°5. Ensemble, sous le titre « Tango Hoy », ces quatre surdoués inventent à travers reprises de classiques et compositions personnelles les voyages inédits du tango du XXIè siècle. Des petits-enfants de Piazzolla et Stravinski… Exemplaire et passionnant.
