Après la série des Red Pieces qui travaillaient les liens entre la sexualité et ses représentations mentales voire politiques, Mette Ingvartsen, chorégraphe danoise passée notamment par P.A.R.T.S, interroge cette fois la technique et la plastique, l’organique et le technologique, et s’inspire de l’influence du numérique sur nos sens. Moving in Concert explore un univers entre utopie et dystopie. Utilisant des matériaux naturels et des effets lumineux, elle invente un paysage abstrait voire enchanteur, une structure en perpétuelle évolution, dans lequel les neuf danseurs se meuvent avec les lampes créant des flux, des tourbillons. Modulant notre expérience de l’espace, des corps et des objets, on ne sait plus si les danseurs sont au service des éléments ou inversement. Bien sûr, cet écosystème polymorphe fait écho à nos questionnements contemporains, comme une projection de notre rapport aux objets connectés perçus parfois comme un prolongement de nous-mêmes.
