MU.e nous transporte en mars 2051. Elli est un adolescent en crise qui vit dans une famille chaotique. Son père passe le plus clair de son temps à l’extérieur du foyer. Quant à sa mère, il lui reproche de collectionner les grossesses « pour rattraper les promesses de monde meilleur qu’elle et sa génération ne peuvent plus tenir ». Fuyant ce quotidien qui ne lui convient pas, le jeune homme se passionne pour une série télévisée au sein de laquelle la Première ministre d’un pays doit faire face à une vague de disparitions qui frappe la jeunesse. Dans le monde réel, un phénomène identique touche la société dans laquelle vit Elli…
Une pièce gigogne
« MU.e est une pièce complexe qui traite de la solastalgie (ndlr, souffrance psychologique liée à la prise de conscience d’une urgence écologique), expliquent les membres du Petit Théâtre de Pain. C’est une pièce gigogne conçue comme un emboîtement de poupées russes dans laquelle s’empilent quatre niveaux de lecture... » Histoire d’une « évaporation virale et massive », la pièce écrite par Magali Mougel (en collaboration avec les actrices et acteurs de la troupe basque) demande des comptes à la réalité. Elle nous transporte dans une fiction multidimensionnelle traversée de peurs, de rêves et de désirs de métamorphose.
