Ce jeune pianiste de vingt-trois ans a vu le jour à Pékin. En 1998, il est distingué comme "meilleur jeune musicien chinois", ce qui lui vaut, trois ans plus tard, de s’installer en France. Il intègre alors le CNSM de Paris dans la classe de Jacques Rouvier. Déjà identifié par le public parisien pour avoir remporté, en 2004, le 4ème Prix et le Prix du public du concours Long-Thibaud, Wu part définitivement à sa conquête en signant un premier disque (Chopin-Liszt) et en montant ce récital au programme impressionnant partagé entre Chopin (Barcarolle opus 60 ; Sonate en si mineur) et Brahms (Sonate en fa mineur n°3 opus 5). Chez Mu Yé Wu, la virtuosité (étourdissante) s’efface à chaque instant devant la volonté de chercher dans la musique le sens de l’amour, du temps et de la vie. Un artiste curieux, profond et généreux. En contrepoint de ce concert présenté dans le cadre de la saison Arts CBI : une exposition du jeune peintre Cédric Charleuf.
