Les oeuvres de Rodrigo Garcia sont à expérimenter plutôt qu’à présenter en quelques lignes… La note d’intention qu’il rédige à propos de cette création déplore que le rire de l’homme au fil du temps se soit affadi et perverti, jusqu’à perdre tout lien avec les entrailles, jusqu’à devenir une banale grimace sociale. En scène, deux cowboys – Juan Loriente et Juan Navarro – , sans chevaux, mais avec costumes et chemises, chapeaux ridicules et lunettes miroir. “Une structure radicale, nouvelle, à laquelle le public n’est pas habitué.” C’est ainsi que Rodrigo présente cette oeuvre abstraite, où la violence se déploie, où les paroles n’interviennent qu’à la fin. Une “écriture du désastre” dans un monde désastreux… Tout commence par le vacarme d’un duo de guitares électriques avant de plonger dans le grotesque. Selon le critique Fernando Castro Florez : “ une oeuvre troublante, interprétée avec une intensité extraordinaire et soutenue par une écriture d’une extrême lucidité.”
