ORCHESTRE SYMPHONIQUE / SALLE PLEYEL
L’affiche a beau avoir quelque chose de nostalgique et presque démodé, ne boudons pas notre plaisir… Celui de retrouver sur scène à Paris les musiciens de l’Academy of St Martin in the Fields, orchestre londonien par excellence, qui reste probablement la formation orchestrale la plus enregistrée de l’histoire du disque avec plus de 500 réalisations au compteur… Beaucoup de mélomanes qui remplissent les rangs de la salle Pleyel aujourd’hui ont « grandi » dans les années 60-70 avec les disques vinyles de cette formation créée en 1959 par Sir Neville Marriner. C’est Murray Perahia qui en est aujourd’hui le Principal Chef invité. Du podium puis du piano, le musicien américain voue son programme du 24 à Mozart avec successivement les Danses allemandes K 536, rarement jouées parce qu’un peu surannées, le Concerto n° 26 « Du Couronnement » et enfin la Symphonie n° 39 ; puis celui de dimanche après-midi à Beethoven (Coriolan, op. 62, ouverture ; Concerto pour piano n° 3) et Haydn (Symphonie n°103 « Roulement de timbales »). Attention, la nostalgie se paye parfois au prix fort…
