« On est sur du too much », dit Jérôme Marin. « Ce qui nous intéresse, c’est la musique populaire en tant qu’émotion collective », explique Jonathan Capdevielle. « C’est un mélange entre des personnages qui se métamorphosent, mais restent des personnages, et des numéros de transformation où ils reviennent à ce qu’ils sont avant le numéro », déclare Marco Berrettini. Comme coincés sur l’aire de jeux pour enfants d’une autoroute, les trois artistes naviguent entre féerique et pathétique dans une fantaisie chorégraphique, théâtrale, musicale qui pose la question de la présence sur scène et du divertissement. Les figures de Whitney Houston, Michael Jackson, Marlene Dietrich et Marguerite Duras participent au voyage de cette rêverie étrange au sein de laquelle « l’abandon de soi et l’échec sont des moteurs explosifs ».
