Il y avait péril en la demeure ! Les concerts de musique contemporaine devenaient depuis quelques années des rendez-vous entre initiés, aussi ennuyeux qu’élitistes, en dépit de la qualité des œuvres jouées. Avec la création du Cabaret contemporain, Laurent Jacquier a donné un coup de pied dans la fourmilière, investissant des lieux de concerts en dehors du circuit traditionnel et imaginant des passerelles avec d’autres univers artistiques. Le prochain concert de cette saison atypique se déroule au Studio de l’Ermitage (un lieu où l’on peut boire en écoutant de la musique : une révolution dans le classique !) et propose, en première partie, des pièces de Benjamin de la Fuente et Bruno Mantovani et, en deuxième partie, du… rock expérimental de Caravaggio. Une confrontation habile tant les deux compositeurs contemporains s’inspirent fortement des techniques de musiques actuelles, du groove à l’amplification.
