Il est difficile de trouver festival plus éloigné du star-system ! Implanté dans un département très peu touristique, la Haute-Saône, Musique et mémoire se consacre à la musique ancienne, très loin des dérives marketing de certains noms du baroque. N’imaginez donc pas y entendre le récital d’un chanteur qui vient de sortir son album Haendel chez une major… Les festivités s’ouvrent cette année avec les ensembles Discantus et Alla francesca sous la houlette de Brigitte Lesne dans des musiques médiévales d’Adam de La Bassée (le 16 juillet). Belle idée, chère à ce festival : confronter musiques baroque et contemporaine, cette année avec la basse de viole de Marianne Muller (le 18 juillet). On est toujours un peu plus réservé avec les programmes vaguement ethnomusicologiques de l’ensemble XVIII-21 Baroque nomade de Jean-Christophe Frisch, en résidence au Festival (le 23 juillet). Mais par contre, n’hésitons pas à aller écouter le Chœur Arsys Bourgogne, l’un des meilleurs ensembles vocaux français, dans des œuvres de Monteverdi (le 30 juillet).
