Ça commence comme pour un défilé : un cortège de femmes, toutes issues du catalogue le plus superficiel du genre féminin. La BCBG, en tailleur bien ajusté, la femme de ménage, la jeune fille moderne… toutes affublées d’un accessoire, presque un appendice, comme le téléphone, l’aspirateur, l’ordinateur… Elles se jaugent, se cherchent, surjouent leurs personnages. La chorégraphe Christine Coudun a choisi une entrée en matière par la petite porte des clichés propres à la féminité. Chacune semble s’y complaire, puisant leur force dans l’énergie du hip hop qu’elles maîtrisent parfaitement. La danse y est joyeuse, la puissance des figures presque insouciante.
La féminité, une vraie question pour le hip hop aujourd’hui
Le vrai spectacle commence là où une des danseuses ose dire non. Débarrassée de ses artifices (talon, robe, ceinture), elle se demande si c’est réellement cela que l’on veut. Une prise à partie frontale du public, qui libère enfin les corps et offre de vrais solos, laissant transpirer les fragilités, les faiblesses, grattant la couche superficielle des attendus pour déplacer notre regard. Ceci installé, les choses reprennent leur cours. La trace de l’affirmation de soi persiste à travers les scènes suivantes, plutôt en pointillés. La chorégraphie hésite entre le clinquant et le subtil. La virtuosité et l’engagement des danseuses pouvaient suffire à porter une parole précieuse, sans passer par l’illusion et le dérisoire.
