« Toutes les formations symphoniques aujourd’hui jouent bien et sont virtuoses, mais je crois qu’il y a au sein de l’Orchestre Philharmonique de Radio France une part d’humanité supplémentaire » affirme volontiers Myung-Whun Chung pour qui le volet social et humanitaire doit constituer aujourd’hui le socle d’un projet orchestral. Parmi ses actions, la pédagogie occupe une part essentielle, par exemple à travers le lancement de l’académie Philharmonique qui permet à de jeunes violonistes, altistes, violoncellistes ou contrebassistes, tous étudiants du CNSM, de vivre une expérience d’insertion professionnelle en préparant un programme avec les pros de l’Orchestre philharmonique de Radio France. Ensemble à la Salle Pleyel (le 4), ils interpréteront la Symphonie n° 8 de Bruckner. Bruckner sera de nouveau à l’honneur dans la saison régulière du Philhar’ dans la même salle, une semaine plus tard, avec sa Symphonie n°9, intense testament musical du compositeur, associée à une autre œuvre inachevée : la Huitième Symphonie de Schubert. Enfin, toujours sur un volet pédagogique, le Philhar’ reprendra « L’inachevée » de Schubert (sous la direction de Pablo Heras-Casado) pour les enfants le 15 décembre à 14h30 et le 16 à17h30.
