OPÉRA DE LILLE / VERDI
L’Opéra de Lille affiche un goût certain pour Nabucco. Après avoir fait découvrir l’an dernier au public français l’oratorio du même nom de Michelangelo Falvetti (1642-1692) grâce à l’inlassable travail de défrichage du chef argentin Leonardo Garcia Alarcon, il programme pour clore la saison 2017/2018 la partition bien plus populaire de Verdi. Connue notamment pour son chœur des Hébreux Va pensiero, on en vient parfois à oublier à quel point l’histoire – celle des Hébreux réduits à l’esclavage par le roi de Babylone Nabuchodonosor – est un puissant appel à la liberté. C’est à la réalisatrice de cinéma Marie-Eve Signeyrole, qui à ses débuts a collaboré avec Peter Sellars, Laurent Pelly ou Krzysztof Warlikowski, déjà connue du public lillois par son travail sur Le Monstre du Labyrinthe, un opéra de Jonathan Dorve, qu’a été confiée la mise en scène. L’orchestre national de Lille est dirigé par Roberto Rizzi Brignoli, verdien inspiré.
