La Fleur est un collectif de DJ’s, danseurs et acteurs, qui interchangent à l’envi leurs pratiques sur scène et dont les membres viennent de Côte d’Ivoire, d’Allemagne, de RDC ou de France. Après s’être inspirés de Balzac et de sa Fille aux yeux d’or pour leur spectacle Les Nouveaux Aristocrates, présenté la saison dernière à la MC 93, ils y reviennent pour créer Nana ou est-ce que tu connais le bara ? S’attaquant à Zola et à sa célèbre courtisane, ils donnent une nouvelle fois une lecture contemporaine d’une œuvre du 19éme siècle, mêlant théâtre et danses urbaines, Europe et Afrique, intime et politique. Avec une énergie débridée, s’appuyant sur la forte personnalité de chacun des interprètes, ils revisitent le destin de la jeune actrice, qu’ils voient comme la grande sœur des performeurs d’aujourd’hui. « Nana est une entrepreneuse prospère qui utilise son corps comme première ressource disponible et ne craint ni les risques ni les difficultés. » écrivent-ils avant d’ajouter : « Mais Nana est aussi la parfaite incarnation du capitalisme. Elle consomme sans cesse et sans modération, elle consomme tout et tout le monde sans réserve. »
