« Repassez l’image du film où King Kong est à califourchon au sommet de l’Empire State Building. Maintenant imaginez Oussama Ben Laden à califourchon sur une des Twins Towers (…) Dans la différence entre ces deux images, nous pouvons voir le problème idéologique de notre époque. », écrit Christian Benedetti en prologue à la performance qu’il réalise en compagnie de Nina Renaux sur un texte de Christophe Fiat et qui marque l’acte de naissance d’une nouvelle collaboration du metteur en scène avec cet auteur. L’espace de la performance se joue à l’intérieur des mots dont s’emparent les comédiens, texte en main, soutenus par l’attention des spectateurs appelés à écouter pour mieux entendre les enjeux de cet acte volontaire que devient ainsi la lecture. Ouvrant sa saison sur le principe de l’alternance (avec Product et La Fabrique de violence), Le Théâtre-Studio continue son engagement auprès des artistes qu’il accueille et avec lesquels il travaille dans une perspective de partage de l’outil de création et de dialogue. Christophe Fiat présentera ses propres performances en avril et commence avec Christian Benedetti un compagnonnage qui promet d’être fécond s’il déploie ses effets à l’instar de ceux dont le Théâtre-Studio a déjà été le cadre bouillonnant.
