Nicolas Bacchus, militant impénitent d’une sexualité libertaire qui dresse le poing et la queue contre les bien-pensants, affirme, envers et contre tout, que « les mariages, ça me tue » (Trouble ode), qu’il est plaisant de « se faire mettre partout » (Sanson du bizoutier), qu’il n’y a pas de honte à vouloir faire l’amour à trois (Les Uniques), et qu’il n’est pas indispensable, quand on a un amant, d’adopter sa mère (Ta mère)… Autant dire qu’il va à contre-courant de l’époque, et que ses chansons résistent à la normalité sociétale qui pose comme absolu la médiocrité confortable de la famille et de la propriété… Cependant, cet anarchisme joyeux, qui continue de tonner contre les Connards sauvages, se fait un peu plus grave, un peu moins potache, un peu plus tendre aussi (Bacchus a quarante ans et chante Saturne, de Brassens !). Pour le reste, rien ne change : Bacchus continue d’émailler ses concerts de diatribes ironiques et salaces. Le verbe est haut, la voix est nette et bien posée, l’interprétation est soutenue par une orchestration soignée : le bonhomme poursuit son chemin en chansons avec la fière liberté qui le caractérise depuis ses débuts.
