Alain Platel, Vera Mantero, Wim Vandekeybus, Eric De Volder, Caterina Sagna, Johanne Saunier, Claudia Triozzi… l’affiche effeuille déjà quelques-uns des plus beaux atours de la danse contemporaine. Et l’effeuillage mène au vif du sujet de Nightshade : ces sept chorégraphes ont conçu un solo pour des stripteaseurs (euses) professionnel(le)s. « Inciter des artistes à faire quelque chose qui n’est pas vraiment dans leurs cordes est une expérience très intéressante, car capable de faire jaillir de nouvelles formes artistiques et des interprétations insoupçonnées. » explique Dirk Pauwels, du collectif belge Victoria, qui a imaginé ce projet hors normes. Entre charme et révolte, dévoilement et dissimulation, humour et provocation, que se joue dans le regard sur ces corps dénudés ? Qu’en est-il de l’érotisme dans la danse contemporaine ? L’art de l’effeuillage peut-il se faire art ? Le nu commercial peut-il se muer en nu artistique ? Réponses en sept solos, comme autant de variations sur un même thème.
