Théâtre Louis Aragon / Chor. Bernardo Montet / Mus. Ensemble Gnawa
Avec O More surgissent les images d’un Moyen-Orient aride. En tournant, au sens propre comme au figuré, pourrait-on dire, autour de la figure d’Othello, Bernardo Montet est parti à sa propre découverte, sorte de voyage initiatique entre la danse et la transe. Ils sont neufs. Trois musiciens Gnawas et six danseurs d’origines mêlées qui se tiennent au bord de la scène du drame, matérialisée par un quadrilatère de tissu blanc : le mouchoir de Desdémone comme corps du délit. La chorégraphie elle, parle du délire des corps. Folie du More et désordre intérieur, ivresse du mouvement et magie des mots proférés comme incantations. Brisée comme l’âme du personnage, tout en éclats, la danse s’élance : portés, étreintes et chutes s’inscrivent comme une calligraphie forte qui marquerait de sa trace le sol blanc. L’attente envahit le plateau puis la reprise de la musique plonge les corps allongés dans une sorte de mer matricielle ou de magma originel. La soirée finit par un authentique concert gnawa pour un moment hors du commun.
