Théâtre Louis Aragon / Chor. Mithkal Alzghair - Mickaël Phelippeau
C’était en 2010. L’un a fui l’Ouganda pour se réfugier en Allemagne, l’autre a quitté la Syrie pour parfaire sa formation de danseur en France, il ne pourra plus rentrer dans son pays en guerre. Tous deux sont réunis au Théâtre Louis Aragon le temps d’une soirée placée sous le thème de l’exil. Déplacement de Mithkal Alzghair est un solo suivi d’un trio qui interroge à travers les danses traditionnelles syriennes l’histoire de ce pays aujourd’hui dévasté par la violence. Il a obtenu en 2016 le premier prix du Concours Danse élargie. Mit Daudi de Mickaël Phelippeau est un de ces portraits dansés que le chorégraphe affectionne, fruit de sa rencontre au Théâtre de Freibourg avec Daudi Jajouth Simba, qui y suit une formation de technicien. Le jeune homme lui dit se définir comme « un danseur du quotidien« , que « la danse est une langue à part entière et qu’il la pratique à tout instant« . Ils créent ensemble une pièce qui puise dans les racines ougandaises de Daudi, autant que dans son amour pour la cuisine ou la chanteuse Tracy Chapman.
