La griffe scénique de Jean-François Sivadier et de sa troupe de comédiens décoiffés – Nicolas Bouchaud (Ponce-Pilate), Stephen Butel (Hérode) … – est repérable à l’infantilisme affiché et volontairement simpliste de l’univers de la b.d. Avec Noli me tangere, le public sourit de l’esprit d’Astérix et de l’Histoire de Rome de cette comédie biblique. Le spectateur entend des résonances d’Antigone et d’Iphigénie, des accents de Shakespeare avec la scène des artisans du Songe d’une nuit d’été, sans oublier le mariage illégitime de la mère dans Hamlet, ni le couple machiavélique des Macbeth. Les signes sont identifiables dans l’art de la mise en scène et de la dramaturgie qui se revendique avant tout comme festif, approximatif et jubilatoire. L’ange Gabriel (Nadia Vonderheyden) évoque les annonciatrices Céline Chéenne et Elizabeth Mazev des premières pièces d’Olivier Py ; de même que la comédienne Marie Cariès (Salomé) rappelle au souvenir son rôle de jeune amante dans Le Songe d’une nuit d’été par Yann-Joël Collin. La mise en scène se présente comme le kaléidoscope de la tradition d’un théâtre convivial de jeu collectif, jusqu’à la scénographie qui fait surgir à la fin de la représentation de beaux lustres lumineux dont la composition est faite d’ampoules nues et étagées, les « servantes » mises à l’honneur par la pièce éponyme d’Olivier Py. Un bel hommage à la signature d’une famille théâtrale.
Eloge de la résistance
Notons aussi les voilures blanches de navires et le rouge des rideaux de scène ou de radeau. Le propos apparemment désinvolte de Noli me tangere n’en reste pas moins noble. Si « Ne me touche pas » reprend la citation de défense du Christ ressuscité face à Marie-Madeleine, c’est aussi l’expression récurrente des jeunes qui se confrontent dans les cités, quartiers ou lycées. Comme si le corps des uns – leur territoire – ne pouvait définitivement frayer avec celui des autres, forcément hostile : « Mon peuple est tyrannisé, on exploite l’étranger… » La pièce condamne la violence et fait l’éloge de la résistance et de la libération. Le tyran Hérode éprouve une peur trouble pour Iokanaan – Jean-Baptiste (Rachid Zanouda) ; sa femme Hérodiade hait ce prophète qui condamne sa vie dissolue ; Salomé, la fille d’Hérodiade, offre une danse envoûtante au tyran, son beau-père amoureux et aviné, en échange d’une promesse : elle demande la tête du saint sur un plat. Le cycle de la violence et de la haine ne semble ne jamais s’achever. En exigeant la mort du prophète qui ne craint pas la mort, Salomé parle aussi au nom de la femme malmenée, cette vivante d’hier et d’aujourd’hui qui craint déjà la mort.
