Est-elle sur la voie du renoncement ? Oui, s’il s’agit de tourner le dos au conformisme qui voudrait ne pas mélanger les genres. Car Anne Baquet s’évertue à mêler le lyrique et le cabaret, le baroque et la variété, en toute liberté. Pour ce spectacle, elle a multiplié les commandes : François Morel, Sempé, Moustaki ou Eric-Emmanuel Schmitt ont écrit les textes de chansons mises en musique par Claude Bolling, Marie-Paul Belle et bien d’autres encore. Le tout au milieu de compositions de Chopin, Rachmaninov, Bernstein… Accompagnée au piano par Grégoire Baumberger, Anne Baquet fait valser les ambiances. Tantôt opéra, tantôt piano-bar, tantôt percussions, pour des personnages qui passent de la midinette ingénue à la rebelle, en passant par la capricieuse diva. En virtuose des métamorphoses, Anne Baquet, artiste libre et rayonnante, donne à entendre une palette riche et nuancée.
