Véritable « festival dans le festival », cette superbe « Nuit du Jazz » à L’apostrophe-Théâtre des Louvrais présentée dans le cadre du festival « Jazz au Fil de l’Oise » propose une double affiche exceptionnelle autour du thème de la contrebasse. La soirée s’ouvre avec un duo voyageur construit autour d’une personnalité légendaire de l’instrument : Eddie Gomez, entré dans l’histoire du jazz pour ses onze ans de collaboration avec Bill Evans. Il dialogue ici, comme sur l’album récent « Forever » qu’il vient de signer chez Plus Loin Music, avec son vieux complice le pianiste (ex-contrebassiste) brésilien Cesarius Alvim, également mis en valeur dans cet album en qualité de compositeur. En deuxième partie de soirée, autre musicien phare, découvreur de Keith Jarrett et de Michel Petrucciani, le saxophoniste Charles Lloyd, inventeur hors mode en quête de spiritualité, présente son « Sky Trio » composé du contrebassiste Reuben Rogers (déjà remarqué auprès de Wynton Marsalis ou Joshua Redman) et du percussionniste Eric Harland.
