Une nuit, bien sûr, ne suffira pas à épuiser le répertoire d’une formation chambriste qui depuis deux siècles et demi n’a cessé d’inspirer les compositeurs. Le programme de cette « nuit blanche » embrasse cependant largement les horizons multiples du genre, depuis les œuvres fondatrices de Haydn, Mozart et Beethoven jusqu’aux réalisations de quelques maîtres du xxe siècle. Et cette programmation fera entendre des quatuors, jeunes encore ou déjà confirmés, qui ont bénéficié du soutien de ProQuartet depuis la création de l’association en 1987. Parmi les aînés, on notera la présence en ouverture des Tchèques du Quatuor Zemlinsky (dans Arriaga et Dvorak), et celle en clôture, à l’aube, du Quatuor Danel (œuvres de Beethoven et Chostakovitch, dont ils comptent parmi les meilleurs spécialistes actuels). On pourra découvrir (à 20h) les benjamins de cette nuit, le Quatuor Van Kuijk, formé à Paris en 2012, et un peu plus tard les quatre jeunes musiciennes du Quatuor Zaïde, fondé en 2010. La palme de l’à-propos revient au Quatuor Varèse, qui interprètera peu avant minuit la superbe œuvre d’Henri Dutilleux intitulée Ainsi la nuit, juste avant une autre formation très portée vers la musique contemporaine, le Quatuor Béla (quatuors de Ligeti, Brian Ferneyhough et Janacek). Tout cela, au milieu des Nymphéas de Monet.
