ALPES DE HAUTE-PROVENCE / MUSIQUE, THEATRE, DANSE
Cette saison, les Nuits de la citadelle de Sisteron mettent à l’honneur plusieurs chefs-d’œuvre de la musique dans des répertoires très variés. Mozart ouvre le festival avec son 27e Concerto pour piano sous les doigts de François Dumont et sa célèbre 40e Symphonie dirigée par Nicolas Chalvin. Année Bernstein oblige, c’est ensuite à West Side Story de faire son entrée, dans la version pour deux pianos et percussions arrangée par Irwin Kostal pour les sœurs Labèque à la demande du compositeur lui-même. Côté opéra, La Chauve-Souris de Strauss s’invite sous la baguette de Bryan Evans tandis que côté théâtre, la première de Cyrano de Bergerac est restituée à travers la savoureuse pièce Edmond d’Alexis Michalik. Plus rare : un concert de musique de chambre est donné aux chandelles dans la Cathédrale avec le Concert spirituel d’Hervé Niquet qui propose quelques pépites comme les Messes brèves de Mozart. Hommage à Leonard Cohen avec les Ballets jazz de Montréal, quintette à cordes de la Philharmonie de Berlin et Orchestre symphonique de Hongrie-Miskolc seront les autres atouts de cette édition 2018.
